Privacy Policy

1. Overview

DonutSMP Center runs a website and a Discord bot for the DonutSMP community. This policy explains, in plain terms, what our Discord bot does with message content, what it doesn't, and what limited information we store to keep vouches, reputation, and account links working.

2. Message Content Is Only Used to Calculate Prices

The only reason our bot ever looks at message content is to read live item prices (for example, spawner prices and other auction house items) so it can calculate current market values and keep those prices updated and in sync across every server the bot is in. That's it. Message content is never logged, never stored, and never reviewed by a person — it is read in real time purely to extract a price, and then discarded.

The bot does not read your DMs, does not read messages in channels unrelated to pricing, and does not build any profile of you or your messages. If we don't need a message to calculate a price, we don't read it.

3. Everything Else Is Slash Commands

Outside of price calculation, the bot does not read messages at all. Every other feature — vouching for a trader, reporting a scam, verifying your Minecraft account, setting your bio, and checking prices, leaderboards, or auction listings — works entirely through Discord's slash commands (like /vouch, /verify, /prices, and /leaderboard). Slash commands send Discord only the specific option values you type into that command, not your regular messages, so there is nothing for the bot to read or collect beyond what you explicitly submit to that command.

4. No Data Is Stored About You by Default

Simply being in a server with our bot, or sending messages in that server, does not create any record about you. We do not store your message history, your activity, or any data tied to you unless you take one of the voluntary actions below.

5. What We Store When You Use a Command or Sign In

The following information is only ever stored because you chose to submit it through a slash command or by signing in on donutsmp.center:

• Account linking — when you run /verify, we store your Discord ID, Discord username, and the Minecraft IGN you linked, so your reputation stays attached to the right identity across Discord and the website.
• Vouches — when you run /vouch add, we store that you vouched for the named user so it can be counted and displayed.
• Scam reports — when you run /scam, we store the reporter, the reported user, and the reason you provided.
• Bio — when you run /setbio, we store the bio text you submitted.
• Website sign-in — if you sign in on donutsmp.center, we use your Google account and, where linked, your Discord and Minecraft accounts solely to authenticate you and keep your vouches and reputation synced to the correct identity.

Auction house and item price data (including spawner prices) is stored separately as general market data — it is not tied to any individual user.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use Firebase (Google) as our authentication and database provider to store the information described above. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our users.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect stored information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure.

8. Your Choices

You can view and update your linked account, bio, and profile information within the application. If you wish to delete your account or any data we hold about you, please contact us.

9. Insurance Claim & Appeal Evidence

If you file a claim or appeal under the Scam Protection ("Insurance") Program described in our Terms of Service, you will voluntarily submit evidence to support it, such as proof of your weekly payment history, chat logs, screenshots, or recordings. This evidence is used only to evaluate that claim or appeal and to detect fraud, and is not collected outside of that process.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Your continued use of our website or bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
